Are Evictions on Hold in Texas?

As reported by Texas REALTORs, the Texas Supreme Court has put a hold on residential evictions through April 30, 2020.

And, the CARES Act prohibits certain residential property eviction filings between March 27, 2020 through July 24, 2020 for the non-payment of rent or other fees in the Lease Agreement.

Does this mean that tenants don’t have to pay rent?
NO! Please read additional information for tenants here.
